Fellow graphic designer and good friend of many years, Maureen Curosh (aka Mo), let me take a peek at her Chicago apartment. Just married and now living with her husband Dave, Maureen displays hints of femininity while keeping the design and overall aesthetic a happy neutral.
Her space creates a polished and inviting atmosphere layered with lush plant-life and a variety of animal sculptures (I found a zebra, a bulldog, a pig, a giraffe, a dove, and more). These decor accents project natural sensibilities and had my animal loving self smiling ear to ear. In addition to snooping around the place, I was happy to capture my favorite piece hidden in a small nook atop the kitchen cabinets. There, I found white and gold Vargas Girl glasses, a gift to Maureen's husband from his grandmother, Grace Simaga, who made them herself in the 1960's. Talk about a stylish grandma! Enjoy the tour!
